Eve Mae Cashen

Eve Mae Cashen, born Jan. 7, 1931 passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005 in Salem, Ore. Services were Dec. 5, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Chapel of Macy and Son, McMinnville, Ore. Mrs. Cashen was born Jan. 7, 1931 in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Roy and Mary Ciecholinski Wagner. After graduating from high school she worked in numerous fields in the Milwaukee area. She married Robert Cashen in 1956. The family moved to neighboring Greenfield, Wis. in 1960 where she worked, among other jobs, as an aide in the local high school and wrote a column "Around and About Greenfield," for the local newspaper.

To escape the famous Wisconsin cold, she moved to Stanton, Calif. in 1981 where she worked as a legal assistant for Starkist, retiring in 1992. She moved to Salem in 1992 where lived until her death. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed working on her house, reading, collecting dolls and stuffed animals, traveling and going to the casino.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen Maas, her brother Leonard "Lee" Wagner and her sister, Rosemarie Olson. She is survived by her son Dean Cashen of Boise, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and her three sisters, Sandy Samens of Fon du Lac, Wis., Susan Voigt and Bonni Rogers, both of McMinnville, Ore.
